Hi everyone, I've read about the police clearance requirement for the country you lived for more than 6 months.

I used to live in Australia for nearly 2 years and I learned that I could get the police clearance through the AFP National Police Check website.

Do you have any advice/experience getting Australian police clearance when you are longer live in the country for like 2 years already? I look forward to your advices. Thank you so much!

I just got the NOA1, can I start to get the documents ready now or it is too early?

Do exactly as AFP website says. Complete the form, provide evidence of your identity and send it in. AFP had my PCC issued in just a few days.. i think about 5.

As I have my sister living in australia, I had the PCC sent to her and then she express mailed it to me. All in all.. it took me about 3 weeks from the moment I applied to receiving the PCC today.

If you are going to get it sent to Vietnam.. I would allow at least 1.5 before receiving it.

05-31-2014 -- Interview Letter received

07-16-2014 -- Interview Approved!!!!!
07-21-2014 -- Visa in hand
09-24-2014 -- POE

09-09-2016 -- I-751 sent
09-17-2016 -- NOA received

10-14-2016 -- Biometric appointment

08-07-2017 -- New card ordered
08-10-2017 -- New card mailed ( still no approval letter)
