Below is question 13 on US Visa Form I-130.

Which do I check?

I am a US citizen born abroad.

My birth certificate is Form FS-240, Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen of the US.

Form FS-240 does not have any type of certificate number on it. I looked over the entire form.

It does have a date and place of issuance on it.

13. If you are a U.S. citizen, complete the following:

My citizenship was acquired through (check one):

___Birth in the U.S.

___Naturalization. Give certificate number and date and place of issuance.

___________________________________________

___Parents. Have you obtained a certificate of citizenship in your own name?

___Yes. Give certificate number, date and place of issuance. ___No

I would check the box next to parents and then check the yes box and fill in the date and place. You're going to send a copy of your FS-240 with the I-130, so they can see what it's all about.

You can click on the 'X' to the right to ignore this signature.

Actually, I was going to just send a copy of my US Passport with current visa. That will prove citizenship and that I've been in Thailand long enough to qualify for DCF.

Not problem sending a copy of FS-240, but the instructions said a copy of current passport is enough.

I read about others sending in more than what was asked for.
