How long to get the packet 4 the Consulate in Montreal ?

One and half week ago, according to the instruction for Packet 3, I sent the required documents to the Consulate in Montreal by email. After several minutes, I got an email that looks like an automatic reply and it was just something like how to contact the consulate. Till now, I didn’t receive any other message from the consulate. I am not sure if they have gotten my email. Sometimes I even think to send the same email again or sent the documents by mail.

I am wondering if there are any other people in the similar situation and how long it usually takes to get the packet 4.

Thanks in advance!

You're on the right track! Our response for P4 took 5-6 weeks, which is consistent with people who sent it around the same time.

Other people will tell you that you should have a response within a few days. A majority of those people did not send by email, and the timeline is different now.

Thanks for the information. I really appreciate it! How did you send your packet 3? By email or mail? The instruction for Packet 3 says that the documents must be sent by email. if by mail, would be there any chance for the quick response?

Thanks again!

It's all by email now, as of October. The initial response you got means they received your email.

I don't think mail would speed things up simply because they're not expecting/requesting information by mail anymore.

Thanks a million!
