Hi,

We just received our NOA1 (I 797C) via mail and noticed that Pat's (beneficiary) middle name is not mentioned. Nathan's (petitioner) middle name has been initialed, but no mention of Pat's middle name. Now I have read a few posts on this from 2010-12, and the general consensus is that it doesn't matter.

Pat's passport does have the middle name under the 'Given Names' section. We would also like the Permanent Residence Card and SSN to show the full name. Just for consistency.

Should we raise the matter now or would it resolve itself during the Immigrant Visa Application process?

Thanks,

Pat

Go to this link and fillout the form. Explain the reason and type full name of beneficiary. I did before, about a month I got a notice that my wife full name had change. In NOA2, her full name with middle name included

I don't think it matters to much, but for your peace of mind do what is suggested earlier.

Our NOA1 only had my wife's first & last name. The NOA2 had first name, middle initial & last name. At NVC, all her documents bore her FULL name. Her visa also bears her full name. Her GC also bears her full nameà

So I think its a style of the adjudicator at uscis only. Not much of a big issue. But if it makes you get peace of mind, get it fixed now. Good luck!

Does not matter.

Visa comes in passport name

Green card comes in visa name.

SSN comes in whatever you apply for but generally, visa/green card/passport name
