Personally I couldn't think of anything worse than being pregnant again. I have a (nearly) 13 year old son and he BY FAR more than enough for me. I hate screaming kids, hate rude kids and the thought of going through pregnancy again and producing another child makes me shudder.

Yup, I am officially the least maternal woman in the world.

This doesn't help you of course...

All I can say is that although your mind and body are screaming out for a baby you must look at your circumstances. You want to (try) to be financially secure, married and settled before you bring a child into the world. Don't rush things. You're young, you have your whole life ahead of you. When your husband to be gets here don't you think it would be nice for you to do the stuff a couple without children can do? Go on a nice holiday, nice meals, staying up late...all the stuff a couple with out any ties can do.

Once you have a child, these things will be gone...and I assure you you WILL want to do these things then.

Plus pregnancy is damn uncomfortable, labour is bloody painful, think of the stitches (yowzers), the sh!tty nappies, the sleepless nights when you can't think straight, the baby that just won't stop crying, the colic....ugh, the list goes on.

Do these AFTER you have spent some quality time with your husband to be. Just my five cents.

And it's easy to look at cute babies and want one, but with the baby comes exhaustion, more money being spent, less alone time, etc, though of course with the baby also comes a lot of love and joy.

...and diapers and formula and toys and doctor visits and new clothes and new shoes and baby food and biscuits and cereal and diapers and preschool fees and more new clothes and more new shoes and camp fees and tricycles and bicycles and bigger toys and birthday parties and swimming lessons and music lessons and books and sporting goods and uniforms and instruments and private tutors and private instructors and eyeglasses and braces and dance class and gymnastics and school trips and milk money and lunch money and more new clothes and more new shoes and date money and gas money and locker fees and book fees and nintendo and ipod and proms and yearbooks and class rings and senior pictures and college and car insurance and ..... if you're really lucky....

no bail money.........lol

Just a little food for thought to still your raging hormones....... :D

I think he's already been here for awhile because they are already to the removing of conditions stage. I think it was just a confusion from something someone else posted about him not being here yet. :)

I agree that it sounds very scary sometimes to have a baby. What you wrote Becca, yikes!! But I still want a baby. hehe.

But when you look around and see that most people have babies during some time of their life, it's not so scary. Almost everyone goes through it, otherwise the human race would cease to exist. :P

I know how you feel Ace.

All my life I always wanted to have a family and be a mom....but it seems like it's taking forever for my time to come :clock:

I figured once I got married and finished undergrad, and my husband was here...it would be the perfect time to start.

But somehow it isn't...we still have some settling to do, he wants to finish school and get into his career and purchase a house before we start a family....(this could be 2+ years away)

So I get jealous because I have to wait forever for our lives to be "in order" and I see people with half the stability that we have.....just having their kids.

babies become teenagers. thanks anyway!

You just have to smack em around a little when they get to be teenagers... :D j/k

Well, I was a pretty good teenager if I don't say so myself!

If my future child becomes an idiot as a teenager, I'll ship them off to India for some reality checks. j/k....maybe
