Nature boy - I'm sure I am prejudice to some degree. It's hard to be born into the American experience and not be, kinda like it's hard for you being born White and deny White privilege.

The difference between you and me though, is that your racial identity is part of a majority that controls every means under the sun to oppress minorities (banking, government, commerce, industry etc)

If you are uncomfortable with the definition and think it is somehow unfair, we can use a different example. We can say that a White guy living in Zaire cannot be racist. Black Africans are the majority in that country and control all means of power and can therefore oppress White minorities on a large scale. Is that understanding better for you to swallow?

No I don't deny white privilege. I know several rich white families that had their families fortunes start many many years ago. Cotton, farming etc. That money carried thru, and know they own franchises, etc. I know growing up, we had several men in town who still lived off the old plantation and cotton Barron fortunes.

As for prejudice. We all have pre conceived notions about folks the second we meet them, based on life's experience. No one is immune. Tell me if you meet some suited white dude, you will not kinda assume he is not into Tupac. If I ask a black man for a cig, I am going to be suprised if he does not whip out a menthol.

See my previous response. Sure that White guy in Zaire can be prejudiced but I don't think he can be racist. He can't subject his views on an entire population. Racism is a form of establishment, it is institutionalized. It depends I suppose how you and I define it. That one White guy can't pass a law and say all Blacks in Zaire have to sit in the back of the bus. He may think that, and in fact if he owned a bus he might even say that or ask people to on his bus but his actions do not affect the majority....which brings me to your example of a Black firm. How is that Black firm disenfranchising an entire race of people (Whites) ? Sure it may be discriminating against a few people looking for a job but it's not going to affect an entire population. So not to get off track but with your example are you saying that organizations that promote the betterment of Black people racist?

As far as your predjudice example, I dunno I went to schools with mostly White kids who were more into Tupac than I was and I'm sure many of them have grown up to be suits Of course all of us have pre-conditioned views of each other based on our race, you and I agree you admit that - the caveat I add, my friend, is that only one group can actually use those prejudices to affect broad ranges of populations.

Heck I am not sure the last time I saw a white face at the local VA, or heck working at the ATL Airport. Kind of a joke among white travelers, that you never see a white person working there.

Well when I started my carrier way back in the early 80's,we had 4 shifts. One was all black and headed by a black foreman, who I liked. I asked to be placed on his shift. So it happens.

So you are telling me no white people apply at the local VA or not many apply at the Atlanta Airport ?

For that ,matter I went to USICS a couple of weeks ago. Again, not one white face.

So how is that possible without some racial preference of some kind?

I know there is racism out there.Your are blinded to the fact it is just as if not more prevalent on the black side of the fence.

Like almost every other FBI informant, Sharpton was solely an information source. The parameters of his cooperation did not include Sharpton ever surfacing publicly or testifying on a witness stand.

Genovese squad investigators--representing both the FBI and NYPD--recalled how Sharpton, now 59, deftly extracted information from wiseguys.

Information gathered by Sharpton was used by federal investigators to help secure court authorization to bug two Genovese family social clubs, including Gigante’s Greenwich Village headquarters, three autos used by crime family leaders, and more than a dozen phone lines. These listening devices and wiretaps were approved during the course of a major racketeering investigation targeting the Genovese family’s hierarchy.

A total of eight separate U.S. District Court judges--presiding in four federal jurisdictions--signed interception orders that were based on sworn FBI affidavits including information gathered by Sharpton.

Investigators also used Sharpton’s information in an application for a wiretap on the telephone in the Queens residence of Federico “Fritzy” Giovanelli, a Genovese soldier. Giovanelli was sentenced to 20 years in prison for racketeering following a trial during which those recordings were played for jurors. In a recent interview, the 82-year-old Giovanelli--now three years removed from his latest stint in federal custody--said that he was unaware that Sharpton contributed in any fashion to his phone’s bugging.

- The Dept of Va

- The PostOffice

- The EPA

- The EEOC

- All Bus companies in Baltimore and Birmingham

- Own ALL entities that dish out service contracts in ATL & Memphis

Also apparently every job in New Orleans is also owned and operated by Black people.

Atlanta would not be a great example of ethnic-diversity, since all of that 'movement' stuff after the Jim Crow laws were repealed. Trust me - the focus to own the plantation masters' worldly possessions actually worked in Atlanta, for the last 3 decades.
