Hi,

I am currently a full time MBA student amd while filing I-864 , Part 6 ( employment information ) we need to fillup employee information.What and where should i put this information ? Also , is their a minimum amount that they look at w.r.t finances ?

Well if you have no employment you would put NONE. Looks like you need a co-sponsor here is the guidelines you need to meet or your co-sponsor for the # in household.

My last 3 years earnings are way above the poverty guidelines , so would bank/stock/asset statements be enough ? or do i still need a join sponsor ?

If you are not CURRENTLY making the poverty guideline or do not have enough assets to cover, you need a joint sponsor.

3x the amount or difference between what you make currently and the poverty guidelines.

Example: If you make zero dollars and are only sponsoring 1 person which equals a household of two, take the poverty guideline on the I-864P and times that by 3 to get the amount required for assets. Do some math and let me know what it is

That is for sponsoring a spouse or child. Sponsoring a parent or other relative or using the beneficiary's assets is x5.
