  1. 1. Did Jeb Bush just lose the GOP primary?

    • Yes.
    • No. He can still win as long as the nutbar vote gets splintered.
  2. 2. Jeb Bush clearly does not hate all illegal immigrants.

    • This is a problem. He should hate them.
    • Clearly. And that's a good thing.

How about Rachel Mad Cow or Chris "Tingles" Matthew? Blowhards both.

Those two aren't anywhere close to what Rush has as listeners. Not to mention, Rush has so much clout on the Right, he had GWB Senior carrying his bags into the White House. http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/01/opinion/granderson-rush-limbaugh/

This is why when he ran Sandra Fluke through, very few folks in the GOP said anything. He didn't even apologize until he started losing money and sponsors. No one on the Left can boast such a claim.

Edit: You do realize you're proving yourself wrong with those comments?

First line, funny.

Second line, appalling and inappropriate. Guess they never cured your nagging case of Bush Derangement Syndrome.

It never fails to amaze, while superficially professing inclusiveness and diversity of ideas, just how intolerant the left is...

Lying and fabricating evidence to invade a sovereign nation which ultimately led to over 100,000 violent deaths is appalling and disgusting to me.

Now this guy is painting for a hobby. He makes John Wayne Gacy look like a choir boy - hence the reference for my comment. I was actually being nice, maybe someone can help me coin an appropriate term for liar, devil, murderer, torturer, feckless, incompetent.

There are certainly over the top comments on both sides, but I believe that overall, the extremists on the left are much more intolerant (and louder) than those on the right.

Whatever the case, it does not make one group more justified than the other. In essence their are both one and the same.

hmmmmm.... [not directed at you, but I thought a good post to list the language bits].

The landscape that kept a Bush in office doesn't exist anymore, so it'd be a waste o time if the jeb-o-naut threw his hat in the ring. Sure, he's nothing like any of his other relatives, but that won't matter.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I agree, same is true with the Clintons. We are done with both.

We were not talking about listeners. (And besides that, you are wrong with that point, BTW.) We were talking about loudness or intolerance of TV or radio personalities. You are changing the subject.

Rush may have been inappropriate to Ms. Fluke, and that is never justified. However, I don't know because I am not a talk show listener. But, 30-something year old law student Susan Fluke can pay for her own contraceptives. Unless she wants to pay for my toothpaste, aspirins, and toilet paper.

So you're saying that Maddow and Matthews is louder than Rush? And what intolerance are you talking about? Matthews, he can get pretty loud when he argues, I'll go with that one. Maddow? Never heard her raise her voice. Please post some links to back up your claim.

What gets me most upset is that extremists on the left will shut down any opposing views with shouts of "racism", "homophobia", and the like. These are conversation killers and have no place in thoughtful discourse. (And for those few that are not using hyperbole when making these statements - and actually believe that everything said by people they disagree with is racist, for example - need their heads examined.)

Everyone has to acknowledge that one can have an opposing view without being racist or homophobic.

The answer to this would be stop being racist or homophobic. Both sides are guilty of using coded language when dealing with certain demographics. Dems are trying to keep their base by calling certain areas racist. This is wrong. Repubs are trying to keep their base by calling talking about how jacked up black, hispanic, and gays are. It's also wrong.

If you don't think this is true, take a hard long look at it. When was the last time a politician went to a poor area and told a bunch of white people they were lazy when they were on welfare?

Sorry, but your first sentence shows you are assuming that certain comments are racist or homophobic. The answer is for everyone to stop thinking you are better than others, more enlightened than others, or better educated than others. Ya ain't.

No question that there are code words on both sides. But just because, for example, someone does not "like" homosexuality DOES NOT necessarily make him/her a homophobe.

That's because they are. Here are some of the most common used ones, you can google it if you don't believe me:

Inner City, Welfare, Food Stamps, South side Chicago, lazy, low information, plantation(Black people)

Illegal, you look like you're not American, cantaloupe thighs, go back across the river(Hispanic people)

Bestiality, UN-Godly,abomination, those type(LBGT)

When you talk to someone, be mindful of what you're saying. Talk to them, not their skin color, or their sexual preference.

I repeat:

....just because, for example, someone does not "like" homosexuality DOES NOT necessarily make him/her a homophobe. Can you even admit that statement is correct???

Do you mean, choose not to recognize the the gayness within, or not to like the gays because of what their sexual practices are? Either sounds phobic, but that is just me.
