Just wanted to share with people who are hoping for an approval from Texas service center . my parents i-130 got approved today alhamdulilah.. 13 long months prolly the most hardest. We contacted senators and congressman finally his check got the file rolling and a special team made a decision within a week.

Took the USCIS 27 months to approve our I-130 for my stepson, our congressman or senator can help with this. But then switched to the NVC, they tell me that's under the executive branch and have no say in this.

NVC says visas are limited by law and the limits depending on which country your relative is from, makes a huge difference. Limits for Latin America already have been reached for this year, try again next year. Only 1,500 visas are permitted under Obama's law for all of Latin America. Starts at the US southern border and way down to the tip of South America, and includes all those islands.
