Hey there,

Getting ready to send this thing off (finally)! But then something occured to me.. Does it matter who writes the check?

We transferred money over from my Canadian bank account, to my wife's (the U.S Citizen) bank account. Is it a problem if she's the one writing the check?

Thanks for your time! :)

No. The USC spouse is usually the one to write the check, unless the foreign spouse was already added as joint on their checking account, has their own separate US bank account, or buys a money order.

better use money order.

Thanks!

It doesn't matter as long as its drawn against a US bank account and doesn't bounce.

If your bank still has your old address on file, then use the check as is. If you have updated your bank account with your new address, then put a line through your old address on the check and hand-write your new address neatly next to it.
