That is what I'm looking at but the G-325 we filled out for K-1 is identical so that was just my curiosity. I understand we have to fill out the G-325A now.

Thank you for your help where it says this form is submitted in connection with an application for naturalization, status as permanent resident or other would it be okay to put K-1 Fiance Visa AOS?

Review the VJ Example Forms, accessible at the top of the forum page for more information, in particular:

I believe in the G-325A I would put this application is in connection with application I-485 which that is what I'm attaching it to.

Now is the Alien Registration Number the same as the A File Number in top of the G-325A?

B/C I know the File A # is on the NOA2 of the K-1 process...

Thank you!

Hmm, are you sure? My wife and I have filled out several G-325A forms in conjunction with these immigration processes. The Form G-325A is also specifically mentioned on page 6 of the official Form I-129F instructions:

http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

The non-citizen's Alien number, or "A" number can usually be found above their name on the Form I-797c Visa Petition Approval Notice (NOA2).

Yes since I made copies of all the forms I filled out for the K-1 the only difference is the exp date and the fact that is has no A. everything else is the same.

I think G-325 or G-325A could be used for the AOS because the officer at the USCIS gave me G-325 as the form I need to fill in and explained that those could be used for the AOS.

A file number is your Alien Registration Number.

I can only encourage people embarking on the AOS process to follow the official printed Form I-485 instructions:

http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-485instr.pdf

and the VJ Guide:

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Some misleading posts have been removed: the G325A is the correct form to use.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I can understand if they are male and not changing their name, so that would not need to be changed, but what about present residence? That cannot be the same. And what about present employment? Are they not currently unemployed due to moving here and not being able to work until they receive the EAD or green card? Also the box for 'Status as Permanent Resident' would be checked for AOS, and not 'Other' as it was for the I-129F petition.
