Now that we've received our NOA1, I'm starting to bite my nails as I consider the possibility of receiving the dreaded RFE. We triple and quadruple checked EVERYTHING but you never know, right?

I've read stories on VJ of people who never received notice/notification of an RFE or issue with their case and then had their entire application denied because they didn't respond to the request in time. How often does this happen? Should I be worried? Is there anything we can do to prevent it?

We signed up for the E-notifications, but I've heard that system is also fallible.

Grr. So much Anxiety.

You need to try to calm down, this entire immigration process is a marathon, not a sprint...pace yourself, or you will never make it. You will likely never hear from the majority of folks who have no problems on their immigration journeys.

Good luck on your visa journey.

I know its hard to think about anything else, but you literally just sent in your petition. Try to relax. The likelihood of you not receiving an email or text AND not receiving the hard copy for an RFE would be pretty slim especially if you do not move between now and NOA2. You're at CSC which is a good thing. I would expect at least 60-90 days and if you get NOA2 before then, it will be a blessing. Good Luck! :)

Hey!

I was worried about the same thing once upon a time, and I received an RFE and thought it was the be all and end all...
IT WASNT.
So take it from my own personal experience, just do all you can do, and seriously, stress less - as mentioned above, this IS going to take, a really really long time, the journey doesn't end when you get the K1 Visa its basically getting started!

Best of luck and don't worry!
