Do you have proof to back what you are saying about the prevalence?? I have spent time in almost all the continents in the world and in several countries (except Australia) because of the nature of my work..including in Africa where I stayed in Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa and Egypt and I can tell you you are soooo wrong. As much as it is true the culture there varies from here, most people there actually have a deep sense of family and that explains why they practice the extended family system. The baby-mama, baby-daddy concept is soo foreign there where as it is soo common here. Divorce is almost like a taboo there. So I don't know where people get all these concepts about other cultures when they haven't even experienced it firsthand. I have a lot of African friends and most are very educated and in relationships and marriages that are very peaceful and have been going for over 10+ years.

Well there are tons of great stories on this same web site that would counter these stories by over 10-1. The human mind is just susceptible to keeping track of negative information than positive and that is why we all vividly remember bad incidents that happened over 15 years ago but will struggle to remember all the great things that have happened in our lives even in the past 5 years. There's a communications concept called Framing and Gate keeping that the media even employs to keep us attached to news stories and our minds use that same concepts too. So let's not be quick to judge and stereotype when we haven't thoroughly proven what we are claiming. Forgive me but my work background is in an area where everything needs to be proven to the point else it will cost a LOT in life and money. So I am very particular about facts than mere assumptions.

You will realize that I employed the same measures you did to show you that just as you claim Nigerian men are violent by your 'research', so are European (specifically Danes) and American men by those same or similar statistics. If you had taken the time to read what I wrote regarding Framing and Gate Keeping theory, you wouldn't have hastily pulled up 'resources' over the internet to explain your 'points'. By what you were trying to prove and what I am trying to counter-prove, American men and European men (specifically Danes) fall in the same category and are all violent, abusive and every woman should stay away from them..But is this true??? NO!

Well FGM is outlawed and carried very long prison sentences in almost every country on earth including African countries. What you said doesn't prove anything. I can decide to not care about these posts but I just feel like it is wrong to make assertions against entire races of people because of a few bad nuts. This is exactly the same things that caused the black and white divide in America and all its associated stereotype issues which we are so struggling to fix!

Well you haven't but the statistics indicated by the EU (so I believe it is credible) in one of the articles I gave you, indicates so, right?

You see how you are quick to debunk such a claim because you do not believe it. It is the same way I would want you to give it some thought before you hastily generalize claims about races of people etc. It is the basis and foundations of racism and it is very unfair to classify entire populations of people in that way. We in the western world have done that for so long against people whose ways of life are different from ours yet we have much more terrible issues here. Please if you want to learn more, take a trip like I did..go to Africa, stay there for months..and learn on a first hand basis and then I will give what you say some credibility.
