Police Clearance & Medical Exam Report: How long valid?

A police clearance letter and a medical exam is required for a US CR-1\IR-1 Immigrant visa.

How long is the letter and exam report valid for? 30 days? 3 months? 6 months?

I'm wondering if I can get the letter and medical exam done on the same day I submit the I-130 at USCIS in Bangkok, since I'll already be in the city. Would doing this be too early?

I'll be going the DCF route.

The police cert will take weeks to obtain. It is valid for 6 months. Keep in mind the entire country slows down for the up coming holiday.

Medical is done in one day and the results given that same day. The report is valid for one year.

To use DCF you must have been a legal resident on Thailand for at least 6 months. Have you been living there using an O type visa? If so you should be fine.

Are they real adamant about wanting to see the letter from the Embassy?

Good to see you can file DCF.

The police ask for NOA 2 or something similar. Adamant ? Its Thailand so everything is possible. In cases I helped with it was not mandatory but you never know with the cops. Try downloading P 3 to see if you can find something that will satisfy them.

Yes. You will file the DCF with the consulate section in that building.

hi guys. maybe some one can help me for some ideas.my kom was done with the interview but they asked for thailand police clearance to complete everything bec she worked der way back 2008-2010.shes planning to fly to thailand on monday to get it personally.any idea how long will it take for them to process and release??because the person at thai embassy advised her to just go because dey received a lot of complaints about the process of mailing it and it will take really a long tym.

according to the US State Dept website, the police cert is valid for one year.

I still am not clear(Thailand) about how early she can get the police clearance  letter in the DCF process. Sounds like she  needs to bring the police a document/letter, so my question is which document and when in the DCF process can you get it?

Since the process moves fast go ahead and get her police clearance certificates just in case there are any issues.  She needs it at the interview stage.
