G325 Question (married name)

Hi!,question.. My husband and i got married last january. I have not changed my passport name yet so basically im still using my maiden name. When completing the g325 should i use my married name and put my maiden name in the OTHER NAMES USED box? Thanks

It doesn't really matter. Visa in passport name, green card in visa name. You can change your passport at any time up until interview day so if you have plans to change it, by all means use your married name if you wish.

Yes. If you have any other legal names, your maiden one for example, you need to put it in other names used. I'm sorry if that was confusing. If you are planning on changing your name that is a requirement. (so if you've been married before and used that married name, you'd have to put it down in other names used.)

I simply mean it doesn't matter WHAT you write down as your name unless you change your passport, it won't matter. So if you want the green card in your married name, change your passport.
