hey frds i got the case#,IIN.B.I.D on 3rd of April,2014 and aftr 2 day when i checked the ceac.state.gov websites it open n shows to fill out DS-261 but we still not get any e-mails from NVC regarding instructions.so, in this situation can we start the procedure by filling out the DS-261 form ??? or we have to wait till we wil ge tthe e-mail conformation from the NVC??? if i already filed th form it may casue delay to my procedure or i have to again fill the form ?? explain me for this situation

Fill it up as soon as it is enabled. It will fasten your process. As you fill it up, within 2 - 3 days, you will receive aos fee bill to pay $88. That will b sent to agent and beneficiary too. Its better to select petitioner as an agent if you do not have attorney.

Please do not wait for any emails. They are quite slow in sending out these emails. Keep checking the CEAC website and as soon as the fee invoices (AOS fee and later IV fee) are available pay them. As soon as the AOS fee is drawn from your account Express Mail (USPS) your AOS package, As soon as your IV fee is paid and the money drawn from your a/c again Express Mail your IV package.

But first thing first. Fill in that DS-261 (Choice of Agent). immediately. Once this is reviewed and approved, the IV payment invoice will become available. Review the NVC Guide, and also the NVC Spreadsheet (thank Ms. Saylin for both). Check the signatures of many of us going thru' NVC right now in the NVC - May 2014 forum. Come join us there.

Call NVC on monday to see if they need you to resubmit.

Apparently submitting the DS-261 before being emailed is getting some people extra long wait times on their IV invoice.

How long beforethe iv bill appeared after DS261 filled up. We are done with AOS paymeny and laready sent last month but my hubby missed to fill up the DS261 until last monday when he called NVC to ask for IV bill that he needs to fill up DS261 before the IV bill appear. I heard some petitioner has been waiting to long for yhe iv bill to appear. Im losing hope with this application.im a june 2013 filer and I guess im the only one left behind. We had allllll the delays.

Have you checked into the monthly NVC thread? Everyone moves to the new month, and many are there from June 2013.

Iguess im the only one left behind from a june 2013 filer..the are done with nvc I think. My only question is how long before the iv bill appear available after filling the ds261..coz we just fillef the DS261 last monday. I heard NVC were having issue now in iv billing.

you are not the only one!!! I filled in july 2012 !! we just did the choice of agent today
