Do you have court ordered or otherwise papered sole custody? If not, then yes, you should get a letter from the father stating he is allowing the child to immigrate to the USA. It will likely be required at interview. I suggest having it notarized.

Wrong. In the Philippines I have attached the link from the Philippines Department of Social Welfare & Development.

http://www.dswd.gov.ph/?s=travel+clearance+for+minors&x=0&y=0

CAN A TRAVEL CLEARANCE BE ISSUED TO ILLEGITIMATE CHILDREN WHO ARE STILL APPLYING FOR THEIR VISA IN THE EMBASSY?

Illegitimate children are under the custody of the mother. If they will be traveling with the mother, they are not required to secure a travel clearance from the DSWD. If they are traveling with person other than the mother, they must secure a travel clearance.

Yes, this goes by PI law, so since you were never married, there is no need for any letter from the father.

Philippines law states otherwise, no paternal consent needed for illegitimate child.

Good luck.

NOPE!! In the Philippines you have sole custody of your child. Embassy will not want anything signed by the father.

Only need what is listed in the embassy instructions letter for each of you.

For CFO if you child is under the age of 12 years then you only need to register the child and get the CFO sticker. You, of course, have to attend the seminar.
