Faster process for Bringing Wife & Chidren filed i-130 Aprl2014

Hello Every body, Their are couple of questions i have regarding the process. with the help of VJ i have filled I-130 for my wife and two kids (3 yr old and 6 months old). As described i have sent photocopies of the desired documents. now i am hearing from lots of people that i should have sent the original documents to save time as they will request originals which will take extra time.

secondly is this the fastest way or somebody was telling me that his wife came to states for appearing in the interview some thing lnstead of appearing in the local embassy.

or if the questions is two complicated whats the process after you file an I130, please walk me through without the abbreviations like IR CR etc thanks a bunch

If you're applying for the CR1/IR1, you send copies to USCIS. Folks who sent originals are often upset because they actually need them for the next stage at NVC and so have to go and order/pay for them all over again.

You don't have a timeline created so we cannot tell when you filed, as others can guide you to threads similar to your own timeline for the I-130.

As far as IR and CR, if you're married for longer than 2 years, you don't need to worry about CR-conditional resident. That requires extra paperwork prior to the 2 year wedding anniversary.

You submitted correctly as the previous poster wrote. Search the IR-1/CR-1 forum (both "process & procedures" and the sub-forum of "case filing & progress reports"). There are many good topics and such that will help you understand the process. Good luck!
