I just went in and the guy who checks everyone in didnt let me do it today. ???

They were busy and already have too many people for the day. He said i can comeback next time. What a bummer. ?

Are we allowed to go to different office other than the one assigned?

Just give it a try. My appointment is for 06/11 in Bellflower but I tried the Wilshire office in Downtown LA for a walk-in this morning and was allowed (with a lot of begging of course). Its conveniently located 2 doors from my office.

4/02/15 - I-29F sent.

4/06/15 - NOA1 hard copy received. Routed to CSC.

Hi guys! I did my walk in biometrics on Monday and today I just got my notification that im inline for interview! I didn't expect them to be this quick as my actual biometrics appointment is on 6/9

Awww bummer...yes, you can use any application support center as long as they allow you. I went to a different one today.

Oh really? is it not going to delay any processing if I do that? Cuz I'm thinking of going to Santa Ana office instead. Buena Park is quite far for me.

And what do you mean if they allow you? Do I have to call USCIS office and ask permission to go to another office?

No, not permission from USCIS. By "if they allow you", I meant the staff at the biometrics center. Letting you in at another office is at the discretion of the personnel there, they are not obliged to take you. You can be turned back at the door.

My updates disappeared too. Adding NOA date again. Also, when I checked the status of my application online, it says they mailed me the appointment letter yesterday so I should know the date of my biometrics appointment very soon. Good luck to all!

I submitted my application based on the 3 years rule, and I'm also a early filler( 3 months prior the 3 years). Will I get my biometric appointment before the actual 3 years pass, or should I wait until the 3 years deadline??

It is going to be 3 years on 7/19.

Most people get their biometric appointments well before their three year anniversary.

Some offices will even allow you to be interviewed before your three year anniversary, but some won't.

The one thing you definitely can't do is take your oath and become a citizen before your three year anniversary.

That being said, some of the NYC offices are pretty slow, so you may have a while to wait.
