I doubt it. Here on base, no one is running around packing heat. They need to fix the system so our folks coming from war zones get the care they need and deserve.

The kind of help they need is a matter of contention, and it's not the fix needed for this problem. People who want to kill others, for whatever reason, and who threaten the lives of innocents with a weapon should be shot in sight. It takes too long for the shrink too arrive.

They won't allow that on a military base, but they will make sure that enough qualified people are armed to prevent another occurrence. The facts are out there. When gun sales go up, crime goes down. It's like magic.

Fixed. As has been pointed out in other threads, roughly the same amount of people own guns, if not less, than they did 20 years ago. They just own more of them. You can really only shoot one gun at a time, unless you're this guy;

I'm talking about babies being shot through doors at their homes. Moms having their heads blown back from putting babies in the car seats. Guns won't help solve that. And most teachers don't want to have guns in schools.

As far as I'm aware, some of the states with the highest gun ownership and the most relaxed gun laws are also the same states with some of the highest crime.

So if anyone could link me to a source that actually proves that guns are responsible for decreasing crime rates somewhere, I'd love to read it.

I believe we need to come clean and admit this is also Obama's fault - someone is bound to sooner or later. If only Putin were POTUS, gun violence would cease to exist.
