work experience documents needed

Hi I was wondering if anyone knows what documents you need to prove that you have 2 years working experience in a certain field instead of having your completion of high school education documents, do they just ask for a letter from your employer?? . I have not finished high school but have been a real estate property manager for more then 2 years (property managers do qualify I checked) If anyone who has been through the diversity visa path before could tell me I would really appreciate it.
