I have a few questions about G-325A forms.

At the very bottom in the black box, it says “Applicant: Print your name and Alien Registration Number in the box outlined by heavy border below.” Do they mean that for both my G-325A and my wife’s, we would both write my wife’s name here since she is the applicant? Or, do they simply mean the person the form is about, in which case my name on mine and her name on hers?

Also, for the section that says “Applicant’s last address outside the United States for more than 1 year” if I still live there (as I still live in Japan) can I just write “present” under the “To” field, even though it has a line separating the month and year fields?

Not sure about the second part but I would say just write the full address again just to be on the safe side.

Thank you, but I think you misunderstood my 2nd question. What I mean to say is that I still live at that location. The field is calling for a specific month or year until which I resided there. I wrote the address in again but since I still live there, is it OK to hand-write “present” even though the field calls for a date?

G-325A is you and your wife one for each. You are to fill it and sign it with your original signature on it with Blue ink and your wife will do the same thing on her own form too... Yes your full name also @ the bottom of the form. I guess your the beneficiary so write N/A on Alien Registration Number but if you have one also state it.

As for your second question, I wrote N/A on my own G-352A form because the question is not applicable to me. I think urs should go the same way as mine as the beneficiary.... I hope this will help.... Good Luck on your VISA JOURNEY.

Actually the “Address outside of US” does apply to me. My wife and I both currently live together in Japan. We plan to move back to Chicago together in August (and things are looking grim time-wise but I still want to file ASAP and think things over.) I probably should have been more specific.

So in my case, the last foreign address is actually my current address.

Rewrite the address you have last been at outside the USA for more than 1 year and put either the dates or "present" in the to section. This question is applicable to everyone. If you do not have an address to put the appropriate answer is "none."

Also each person signs their own g-325a.

Okay,... In that case, I strongly suggest you should use extral sheet and write in details what ever you want them to understand base on the question. Dont forget to make the question your subject ie APPLICANT'S LAST ADDRESS OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATE OF MORE THAN 1 YEAR. Then you add a written note explaining to them everything you want then to understand base on the question. Once your done, sign the extral sheet with ur original signature and dont forget with blue ink then you add date on it and then Staple it together with your G-325A Form. I believe when it get to them the will understand.... I hope you understand my UK ENGLISH....LOL....LOL. How is you and ur wife doing..? Once again good luck in ur Journey.. Since your applying from outside US they will surely answer you very quick.

You do not need to send any explanation regarding the address. As each spouse is required to send this form with the I-130 and to have a petitioner out of the USA isn't unusual at all, the USCIS are used to foreign addresses. Heck for me, the beneficiary, it wasn't even my current address but rather the one before that because I hadn't lived in that current apartment for more than a year yet.

It's more important to make sure to send the G-1145. After the initial case number you can sign up on the USCIS website to get status updates.

Thank you all for the detailed replies.

OK, so basically I can just write "present" in the field in pen since I can't enter it electronically. I have no idea how to properly do an extral sheet but I will consider it and research how to do it.

@Honestkings, my wife and I are doing OK I suppose. Thank you for asking. We are still just pretty confused about how to go about this whole situation due to the bad timing and uncertainty of processing time. In any case we want to get it filed ASAP but we need to get documents translated first which may take a while and also are waiting to have a few things sent to us from the US. For now, I am just doing my best to get the paperwork all signed and filled out before then.

I have another question about filling out the G-325A. For the “Province or State” section of one of the addresses I need to list, there isn’t enough room. Basically, in Japan, there are prefectures and within those prefectures there are regions that are indicated by the suffix “-gun” but they are not used on all addresses. One of the addresses I am listing just uses the name of the prefecture with the suffix “-ken” as that is how it is in the address. However, the actual mailing address of the other address uses both “X-gun, X-ken”. There is enough room to just type “X-ken” but not enough for both “X-gun, X-ken”. I have tried hand writing it in a few times but it is a little scrunched together and might be difficult to read. So… I was thinking maybe I need to use a continuation sheet. The problem is, from what I understand, when you use a continuation sheet you write “See continuation sheet” in the space and then the information is on the continuation sheet. The problem is that “See continuation sheet” also doesn’t fit (it’s even longer than “X-gun, X-ken”. )

So, should I:

A: Just leave off the “X-gun” part since the state or province is actually just “X-ken” and the “X-gun” is only really necessary as a mailing address?

B: Try my best to hand-write both “X-gun, X-ken”

C: Is there any alternate way to use the continuation sheet? I need one anyway for another section so there will be one regardless.

Thank you for any help you can provide.
