Applied SS today and Sure Enough Elis status changed to OPTIMIZED

When I filled up DS-260, I made sure to ticked the box SS to be mailed out to my dad's address. Was waiting for it to arrive and even his Green Card BUT it didn't.

Also dad's ELIS status keeps saying PENDING REVIEW.


@jewel4life on visa journey posted saying he believed that applying for SS is somehow kinda linked to ELIS.

So there was no harm in trying, I took dad to apply for SS card today, and when I got home and log on to ELIS, dang was that dude were right. Dad’s ELIS status changed right away from PENDING REVIEW to OPTIMIZED.

IR5 DAD's Journey Total of 1 year from mailing out form I-130

(Jan 2013) to Visa in hand(Jan 2014).

02/02/2014: Paid $165 at ELIS site

03/06/2014: PORT-OF-Entry=Vancouver Canada

03/31/2014: USCIS Status Address Change

04/03/2014: Applied for SS

​04/03/2014: ELIS STATUS showed OPTIMIZED right away the day we applied for SS card.

04/07/2014: Green Card Production

04/09/2014: SS Card received.

4/10/2014: ELIS and USCIS status: GREEN CARD PRODUCED/SHIPPED

4/15/2014: GC arrived in the mail (yay!)

Love is an unexpected thing...and when it arrives grab it with all ur heart....it may pass u jsut once.......

11.20.07 : mailed I130

01.23.08 : NOA1

04.21.08 : mailed I129F

04.22.08 : NOA1

05.14.08 : NOA2 both for I 130 and I 129F

06.26.08 : medical exam 2nd day PASSED!!

07.09.08 : interview day! PASSED! PINK SLIP!

07.15.08 : visa on hand!!!

08.01.08 : POE SFO (home with my papi!)
