i just applied for i-765 and i-485 at the same time. about a week ago i received a notice telling me of my biometrics appointment. today, i received another notice, telling me of another appointment an a different day. i assumed the first notice was for i-485, but i was mistaken, it was for i-765. the second notice was for i-485. do they really need to fingerprint my husband twice?

Strange. They usually have one biometrics for both forms and both case numbers would appear on the one biometrics appointment letter. Just take both letters with you to the 1st appointment and let them know you got separate letters and appointments and ask they do both at once.
