Hi there! We had our interview last March 24,2014 and we got approved. Upon checking our visa status, it says "READY" since the day after our interview. I checked every now and then and on March 31 I called the Embassy and says our case was reviewed and updated as what I can see on CEAC. I just called the Embassy again and asked for any updates and told me it's still on process and can't tell me how long it will take to get it done.

It's been 9 days now since we got approved and still not moving. I wonder how many days more to get our Visa released so we can do the CFO seminar, my fiancé and his kids will be here in 2 days for vacation and we are set to go with them when they go back to the US. I am really worried about this and it feels frustrating. ;(

Dec 12th, 2013 – Mailed in I-129F Package to Texas Lockbox.

Dec 13th, 2013 – Package Delivered.

Dec 18th, 2013 - NOA1 Text and Email

Dec 20th, 2013 - NOA1 Hardcopy received in mail. Notice date on hardcopy says December 17th.

Jan 24th, 2014 - NOA2 - update on USCIS website

Feb 12th, 2014 - NVC has received our approved I-129F and we were given a Case #

March 15th, 2014 - Passed St. Luke's Medical Exam

March 15. 2014 - Rescheduled Embassy Appointment to March 24, 2014

March 24, 2014 - Visa Approved!

That's a bit strange. My wife's visa was delivered 3 days after her interview, if I recall correctly. Granted, she was staying in Metro Manila at her brother's house at the time. I know it can take a bit longer to the province.

It took two weeks for my wife to get her visa. Don't forget the embassy was closed yesterday, so that adds a day to everyone's wait.

This is why it is stressed to not arrange travel until the visa is in hand... keeps the worry and stress to a minimum.

Oh where is "the province"?

Kaye had her Visa arranged to be delivered in Manila and she does not live in "the province".

I read your posts and you have a history of chiming in on threads but don't have much to say since 2005.

Things have changed and don't assume everything other than Manila is "the province".

Thanks Hank and ive been trying to slow Miss Kaye down but she is one determined Filipina :) It might cost me a few extra bucks in travel costs but she sure has attacked this process and saved us some time and money.

my wife's interview was the 24th too. The interviewer concentrated on my previous divorce, our age difference, and asked if I would make her my beneficiary.

The interviewer wanted to see more chats. So, my wife sent in 50 the next day. The embassy received them on the 27th. As of April 4 still processing

they did keep her passport and key documents

Just wondering how many chats your wife originally showed him. I ask because I have 3000 pages of chats accumulated over the past 1 1/2 years, so I systematically printed every 50th page for a total of 60 pages and sent those to Candy for presentation to the interviewer.

Is that enough? Shold I send her more?

BTW the delay so far is not a sign of trouble. Much of it is the luck of the draw. Some visas go out in 2 days and others identically situated take 2 weeks. There is no rhyme or reason for the difference.

Consider the mailing delay too. 2Go is fast of course, but the USEM mail room? THere is a picture of that room in the dictionary next to the word "slow". Once the visa reaches the mail roon, the ustraveldocs webside is basically done with you. Now it is a matter of the visa working its way through the ultra slow mailroom and out to the 2Go courier.

Just have patience.

(insult removed)

1) How the ^&%$ am I supposed to know where your girlfriend lives? I NEVER SAID she lives in "the province." If you actually READ what I WROTE, you will see I pointed out that delivery takes longer outside of Metro Manila or other big cities, and that it is strangely delayed if it has taken that long. YOU are the one who put another construction on what I wrote.

2) Oh you've read all my posts going back a decade? Great job with the hyperbole, since VJ only has the last few posts of any given user. I know, because I've tried in the past to look up some of my older posts to repost USEFUL and REQUESTED information. I've contributed quite a lot here, as you'll see by my karma rating. (insult removed)

3) Ahh yes, lecturing me about using the term 'the province.' Here are some FYIs for you that reveal how misguided your attack on me over this point are:

a) My wife is from (city removed), Eastern Samar.

b) I happen to intensely dislike Manila

c) Back in 2007, I presented a paper to the Asian Institute of Management in part on the arrogance of 'Imperial Manila.'

d) My wife was only staying in Metro Manila for THAT WEEK so she could get her visa without delay.

e) Yes, 'things have changed.' However, I have yet to meet a Filipino from ANYWHERE who didn't use the term 'the province.' And I lived there for years, not too long ago. In fact, we are moving back there this year. And not to Manila, but to the province.

I received mine after 2 weeks from interview as well, 15 days to be exact. It was 2 weeks on ready, updated twice ready on 2 mondays and then issued after the 2nd monday. Just a little more patience and stay relaxed. Enjoy your time with your family while at it. :)

Anybody know how much time I would add on if she had it sent to Ballesteros (northern province) instead of Manila? I want her to spend her waiting time with her family in the province instead of idling in Manila, but not if it will add weeks onto the time.
