Timeline

When filling out the Affadavit of Support for Co-Sponsor, does the co-sponser have to support both the immigrant AND the sponsor? Or just the immigrant?

October 1 2004 Married in Dallas, TX

February 2005 Moved to British Columbia, Canada

June 2006 Sent off Application for my Canadian Permanent Residence

October 13, 2006 DCF - Took I-130 to US Consulate in Vancouver

October 17, 2006 DCF - Returned to US Consulate in Vancouver - I-130 approved!

October 30, 2006 DCF - Receieved Packet!

November 06, 2006 DCF - Mailed Part 1 of packet to Montreal

Sponsors, by definition, are US citizens. US citizens are eligible for government benefits, should they need them, and do not need someone else to support them.
