Intent to marry date of signature

Hello everyone!

I am submitting our I-129F packet tomorrow and have a quick question. I am using the intent to marry letter provided by the guides section on visajourney.

does the date above 'Dear Sir or Madam' reflect the date of signature? Or should I also put the date of signing next to my signature??

Also, for other copies of evidence such as receipts and copies of birth certificates.. do I need to sign and date these also? Or just include the copies as is...

All official forms have been signed and dated with original signatures.. I'm just not sure about the other copies of evidence if they need to be signed or what..

indicate the date you signed it or if it's not too far away from the date you created the document, put the same date, it does not really matter as long as it was signed within 30 days of submission.

as for the evidence, no need to notarize nor sign, but make sure your photos say on the back who are in it.the occasion and date. goodluck

If you send it tomorrow then you can put today's date (or date which is not far from the date you send the file) above the "dear sir/madam" part. No need to put date next to the signature.

Both petitioner and beneficiary should sign their own intent marry letter.

No need to sign the evidence. On each photo, write with pencil/pen petioner & beneficiary's name, date and location the pictures are taken.

Wow, I didn't know signatures needed to be within 30 days of submission. It has taken us a while to gather all the documents needed, and I just check and my fiance's g-325 is dated 03/05/2014. Its currently 04/03/2014.. so should I have her resend me another? I didn't remember seeing in the instructions that all signatures must be within 30 days of submission. Can you provide me a reference for this?

Eep! I hope the 30 day thing isn't true. I signed all the paperwork when I was visiting at Christmas and I know my fiancé didn't until closer to our package being sent out. In fact, we took about three months to get all of our stuff together, so the dates will span that entire time.

Now I'm worried! Guess the worst that could happen is an RFE.

Just send it.. From what I have seen if they need or want newer ones when your time to interview comes up...they will ask you for new ones later on anyway... That seems it be the GO-TO excuse for RFE... sounds better than we are swamped.... or we want to make sure you're still a couple... :-p

My husband's signatures were done more than 30 days before I sent it. No RFE. I put a note on the cover letter that explained.

There's no statement on uscis website that the form should be within 30 days.

All of you will be fine. Ours was June 2012 when we sent it on November 2012. We got no RFE.

The dates don't need to match and should be prior to the filing date.
