Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.

Hi...ive i submit all the affidavit of support and the civil documents all in the NVC..and im asking..about my income tax return i had a income of 20,551 and the minimum of 2poverty guideline is 19k is my income tax for affidavit of support fits??

It should be sufficient at most embassies, some don't like to cut it that close.

Ask in your regional forum or research the VJ embassy reviews of your consulate and see if others were approved being just hundreds

away from the poverty line requirements. You can also use assets. Enter VJ search 'assets' for discussion threads.

Not to whine because at least we're getting to do this at all, but it seems really unfair that people getting sent to CSC are getting such quick approvals. I live in Texas so I was fully expecting to be sent to TSC. It almost feels like a punishment & its hard to see everyone posting about their approvals in less than a month when we have no hope for a response that quick

My sympathies. Really. Just got my hardcopy NOA1 today and it is from CSC. Apparently I was automatically forwarded and had no clue. I'll certainly take it.

Yeah I know how you feel and I am sure thousands of others do as well who are still waiting. I work for the government as well so this is of no surprise to me as there approaching tactics in this process. It would make to much sense to send backlogged petitions to California to help catch up.

I also received an email telling me that my alien registration number was changed but I wonder why they say that it was "changed" since I never had one before?! Do you know why?

Yeah that is just a general email you get and mine said that as well. They are just simply giving you an "A" number that is assigned to your beneficiary for the process :) It is just worded as "changed" meaning they imputed a number for them :)

We received our NOA1 on April 1. Still waiting NOA2, but browsing through Igors list, it seems that there are many that filed after me who already have their NOA2. So I am become more anxious with what the delay means :(

I just got my receipt for my i129f dated april 25, 2014. And today i got a message saying that my alien registration # has been changed for my 130 petition, im confused but also Im excited but i dont want to get my hopes up

I just got my receipt for my i129f dated april 25, 2014. And today i got a message saying that my alien registration # has been changed for my 130 petition, im confused but also Im excited but i dont want to get my hopes up

That means that the beneficiary has been assigned a alien number and now comes the wait.

The K3 is obsolete for some years now and no longer viable and you will follow the CR1 track, the I-129F is laid to rest.

CR1 waiting times are, depending on the service center, 7-12 months.

So, no don't get your hopes up.

Consulate Received : July 30,2014 Transfer to right embassy complete.

Interview Date : Oct 22, 2014

Interview Result : AP , requesting another PC (not expired) and certified divorce decree (was submitted)Stokes interview via phone for petitioner 4 hrs after interview.

Oct 23 email notification visa approved.
Visa Received : Nov. 3 , 2014 VISA IN HAND.

US Entry : Nov. 21, 2014

Marriage : Dec 27, 2014

AOS send : May 12, 2015, received May 14, 2015 USPS priority

Email &text : May 18, 2015, check cashed May 19,2015, return receipt May 21, 2015 stamped USCIS Lockbox, NOA1 (3x) May 22,2015

Biometrics : June 1, 2015 letter received for appointment June 8, 2015, successful walk-in June 1, 2015

RFE : June 12, 2015 for income not meeting guideline. Income does ( ! ) exceed guideline.

RFE response : June 26, 2015 returned with a boat load full of financial evidence.

UPDATE: July 5, 2015 updated on all 3 cases, RFE received June 30, 2015.

Service request : Aug 12, 2015, letter received that it will be processed within 90 days from receipt of RFE.

UPDATE: Aug 24, 2015, EAD card being produced/ordered. ( 102 days from AOS receipt day and 55 days from RFE response received.) Thank you Jesus !

Renewal EAD in production notification text and online, expedite successful 4 days after RFE request response was faxed, Aug25mailed,Aug29received.

Sept. 21 Interview, 2 hour interview, we were separated and asked about 50 questions each for an hour each. IO was firm but professional, some smiles.
Several service requests made, contacted Senator and Ombudsman. Background checks still pending.
July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.
