I don't have an email contact, but the instruction letter included in Packet 3 provided a link for their email web-form:

http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn//immigrant-visa-unit-question.html

Was the package sent with a delivery confirmation or tracking number? Also, ask your fiancee what he mailed when responding to packet 3. My fiance initially mailed what was included on the checklist on the letter she received (DS-160 confirmation page, copy of the passport info page, 2 photos). However, I noticed that the letter that they sent her stated, "Please follow the instructions and mail the items listed below along with this letter to the Consulate". She had overlooked this instruction and didn't include the letter which had the case number to identify the submission!

After I told her about the missed instruction, we went into semi-panic mode, but she was able to call China Post and recall the package. We reviewed everything together and she was able to resubmit the documents, including the original letter that they had requested.

Good luck!

Thanks so much! I think that might be it... I completely overlooked that as well!

I'm going to talk to him as soon as he wakes up over there, and he has plans to go to the embassay directly with the copies he made of everything.

I've also emailed them and hopefully will get a reply at some point. But thanks so much! I was getting really worried with how long it was taking when everyone says that Packet 3 to 4 is usually relatively quick. I also can't say that I was having an easy time not taking it out on my fiancee... lol

Did you guys pay your fee and try to schedule an interview yet? Would love to hear your experience with that and if you have any tips for us! :)

We haven't scheduled the interview yet, but my fiance just made the payment online. Her tips are to either make the payment through a CITIC ATM if it is available. If not, a payment can be made online, but your fiancee will need to have a debit card that can do online payment.

Good luck!

I finally submitted my I-129F petition today April 3, 2014. And the waiting begins!

Any other April filers here?

I am planning to send in my petition next month. A couple of questions for you....

1) Any tips on what I should do to prevent them from sending me RFEs? I want to go from NOA 1 to NOA 2. I don't want them to be sending me RFEs.

2) Did you have like an engagement cermony? If not what type of materials did you submit to proof that you and your fiancee are indeed engaged.

Thank you so much in advance.

Welcome to the VJ Community!

1) You can read the RFE Masterlist to give you an idea of the common RFE's during I-129F Petition.

Nobody wants to receive an RFE because it means additional time to the process. We checked everything,

submitted the required documents, properly filled out the forms,we met w/in 2 years, we are both legal & able to

to marry, followed the VJ procedures and advice from fellow VJ filers just to make sure no RFE during the

process.. BUT we still received a Request for Evidence when in fact we

we submitted already the documents that they are asking for. So we sent the requested documents again and

waiting for the Decision. RFE is not a denial, but a chance to provide documents needed by the adjudicator

before NOA2 Approval.

2). We dont have an engagement ceremony. We just submitted pictures when my fiance proposed to me.

You will learn alot in this forum. All the best in your application.
