Got my NOA2 today! Excited, but also freaking out a little bit. I planned on this taking a while and this could change things a bit! I am happy to move on from obsessing about this wait to the next one with NVC.

I'm sending in my RFE tomorrow(sending the stuff supposedly that was sent already evidence that we met). Received the signed Intent to Marry Letter from my fiancé(again). Let's see how long it takes for them to touch my case again and how long before I get approved. Wish me luck!

Lena , everything will be good! It should not take long usually couple weeks! Good luck and thanks for all the updates !

Thanks! It is very exciting. Made it practically impossible to focus on work today!

Ukrainian122 - I hope things go fast for you once you get that last piece of info to them. IN the long run, a couple of weeks is nothing after all the waiting we are all doing. I have my fingers crossed for you.

I know what you mean! I'm practically driving myself a little batty too and always checking up stuff! Making sure things are done correctly...losing sleep...wondering, wondering....don't know what to tell people when they ask when I'm getting married...I'm going to get married when the groom arrives! Oh its sometimes maybe winter? Talk about asking time off for work to get married...hey boss, so sometime in winter I may need time off to get married but I'll let you know as it gets closer? Have we set a date? Ummm no, not yet but I WILL KEEP YOU posted (in a small voice...as soon as I know too!). Sighs....

I have all my fingers and toes crossed as well as all of my guts are criss-crossed-twisted in anticipation! I never thought I'd be so excited to get married again!

Dates aren't assigned for K-1 in Manila. You have to try to get one and there was a major shortage of available dates for weeks. A bunch opened up yesterday. I used a cool Firefox extension called Check4Change to alert me when there was an appointment available. :)

We are still waiting for our case to show up at NVC and we received our NOA2 on May 22. I wish I understood the randomness of the timings as it seems that some made it to (and through) NVC quickly and others take a long time. It took me an hour waiting on hold at NVC last night just to get the response that they haven't received our case yet....

Why do they still send paper files around? It seems to me that it would be much more efficient if USCIS would scan all the documentation, approve everything, and then send off an electronic package to NVC which could then be forwarded to the appropriate Embassy/Consulate. It would probably save them millions $ as well...

I am waiting too for NVC. It is so frustrating that they can not do things in order or use something other than snail mail to update on a status. Change in the government takes a long, long time. Hopefully one day they will move to a better process... From what I read is that a lot of people start calling after two weeks, but they ask for a month. I am just going to wait the month out and see if they send everything as they are supposed to. I am not looking forward to sitting on the phone trying to get someone to look into my case number...

Patience, patience!

I called NVC today and I have a case number now! Such a relief!

Our NVC letter came a couple of weeks *after* I was able to get the number from calling. I'd encourage you to keep calling if you want to move the process along faster. Once you have the case number, you can proceed with the visa fee payment and the medical exam, and having those done positions you well for getting an interview slot when one becomes available.
