I am from Kolkata so my interview will be at Mumbai. I came to Delhi for a few weeks for a project. I am wondering if I can do my medicals in the hospitals approved by Delhi embassy. Mumbai consulate do not have any approved hospital in Delhi or Kolkata.

Biometrics in 8 days!

Interview in 14 days!

I am from Kolkata so my interview will be at Mumbai. I came to Delhi for a few weeks for a project. I am wondering if I can do my medicals in the hospitals approved by Delhi embassy. Mumbai consulate do not have any approved hospital in Delhi or Kolkata.

I think it would be better if you contacted Mumbai consulate and asked them this question. If you email them, they should reply to you in 1-2 business days.

As far as i know Medicals are medicals that follow a set procedure from the US consulate requirements. You can get them done anywhere in India.

Call the consulate and confirm as well.

As far as i know Medicals are medicals that follow a set procedure from the US consulate requirements. You can get them done anywhere in India.

Call the consulate and confirm as well.

By anywhere i meant any DESIGNATED facility by the consulate.

Hi!

I am little confused with one of your post and your timeline. You stated that you have May 5th appointment for biometrics in one of your post in this thread and your timeline is saying you had biometrics on April 23rd. So..... which one is correct? My only concern is that if it is fine to have biometrics one day ahead of interview, if you have any idea about New Delhi consulate?

Correct. That was long back when i scheduled her biometrics for 5th may, a day before her interview and thats perfectly normal to do.

But i came to know that biometrics can also be done in Hyderabad, which she is resident of, so i changed it to 23rd april. i wanted her to get done with it.

Hi Linda: It is best to call the Medical facility in Delhi where you are thinking of doing the medical (Max Multi Medical Center). They can tell you if they will do your medical with the IL from Mumbai. I doubt it but it is worth checking.

OFC (fingerprinting) you can do in Kolkata but Medical I am almost certain you have to go to one of the Mumbai consulate approved facilities - Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai etc.

When is your interview in Mumbai? Why not fill in your Timeline and also the Spreadsheet that dwheels is maintaining so graciously. That helps everyone. Thanks.

Interview went smoothly.

They said,I'll get the visa in a week's time :)

Reached Mumbai US Consulate at 7:30 am after a 25 min cab ride from Hotel Courtyard Marriott. Allowed to join the line at 8:00 am for 8:30 interview. Documents verified by Indian officer. Waited for 45 minutes before interview by American officer. All standard questions. Interview was over in 20 min. Came out of Consulate around 10:30 am. Overall a pleasant experience!
