As am I. As for the lookout on Muslims - they're on the lookout for my wife even though she isn't a Muslim. She's an orthodox Christian like most Ethiopians. But then again, most of the TSA agents - or most Americans generally - probably can't tell an Ethiopian from a Somalian. So erring on the side of caution, we rather harass them east African Christians as well.

I apologize Ready. I sometimes get caught in the moment of conflict and throw punches at shadows. you are correct - Christians helped multitudes suffering despair- maintain hope and fight to see a life beyond limbo. The "dark age" helped secure a strong protestant movement & thus free many Christians from works based faith. It's amazing how the spirit of humanity moves in spite of human resistance.

Atheism doesn't come close in body count to what the world's religions have produced. Not even close. Besides, while these regimes may have banned religion (that wasn't really the case either), they did not promote or demand atheism nor was any of their actions - however horrific they may have been - based on atheism. Atheism was the State religion in all places, taught in schools as temples Churches and all house of worship were destroyed.

Stalin himself was the leader of the Atheist fraternity.

Cathedrals were often converted into Museums focused on the subject of Godlessness.

The comunist did not just "happen" to be atheists, that was a founding element.... an necessary goal to relieve man of the burden of a higher power so he could be led to the utopia promised.
