Timeline

Just called USCIS, spoke with tier 1 and insisted on talking to tier 2. I am currently awaiting a call back from tier 2 which might take about 3-4 hours. I hope to get more information about what is going on. I will share as soon as I'm done with their callback.

I file my I 485 and rest in april 3rd. I havent heard anything so I did the service request and received a letter this weekend stating that I woudl should receive a decision or other notice from USCIS within 150 days of the note..... :S

I dont even know how to describe what I feel.....

And today went to have my drivers license and i couldnt. Because my ssn has my married name and the rest of my documents (including the forms for AOS) have my maiden name.... frustrating day....

Good luck to everybody on this waiting time....again...

You should have brought your Marriage Certificate. My wife had no problems applying for her license except for the 3-4 day wait to verify her immigration status.

You should have brought your Marriage Certificate. My wife had no problems applying for her license except for the 3-4 day wait to verify her immigration status.

I did bring it with me. The lady didnt even look at it. Went to her supervisor and said that i had big problem for the different names on the documents. She wanted to talk to my husband but he was at work (my friend took me there).

Did you not put in your Married name for your AOS? All correspondence from USCIS should have your husbands last name if you chose to keep it...

Just filed an inquiry. We received our interview waiver letter in July, of course. My wife's EAD expires in July 2015, when should we apply for its renewal? Do we need to do that in March in case they don't get back to us in time?

Reapply 120 days before expiration date.

My fiancee came to US on the 8th of March, 2014 under K-1 visa at Newark, NJ Airport for POE.

Applied Social Security Number on the 10 of March, 2014.

Married on the 13th of March, 2014.

Sent I-485, I-765, and I-131 on the 15th of March, 2014.

Received EAD on June 7, 2014.

Received Notice of Potential Interview Waiver on July 1, 2014 date 6/27

Contacted Ombudsman on 01/12/2015.

Ombudsman contacted USCIS on 02/20/2015.

Ombudsman sent a follow up to USCIS on 03/18/2015.

I-485 approved on 03/31/2015 ( we ordered your card).

April filer here. Our one year wedding anniversary is Feb 28th. I cant believe it has been one year of marriage and he still dosen't have his green card! No frustrating! We will have to file for EAD renewal this week since it expires 06/06/15. Feeling worn out from worry.

Has anyone here filed taxes yet?

Ours are still pending, and we filed ours married/jointly a little more than 2 weeks ago.

My spouse hasnt worked the entire year, but we still had to file married jointly bc my taxable status is married on my paystubs.

Just hoping we get our refund and it doesnt cause problems that she doesnt have her GC yet!
