Really? I am confused now... Because when I called USCIS before getting the interview waiver, the lady on the phone said that even if it says that the case is still at NBC, to be solved and completed it will be send to the local USCIS office which in my case is Mt. Laurel. I wil give them a call again after I see the new processing times.

The interview waiver cases are adjudicated at the NBC. There is no processing time info available for these. It doesn't go to your local field office at all, unless you need an interview further down the line.

You may get told many different things when you call, but unfortunately you're not likely to find out anything new. Your letter was dated 7/29 (as is mine) and it's only been 2 and a bit months since then so there's still over 3 1/2 months to go until you reach the 6 month mark that was stated. I don't think there's much point calling until then.

I assume you have your EAD and AP by now? If so, try and relax! :)

Wow, didn't realise so many of you are still waiting. Sorry to hear that, also the added delay the later approval date for residency gives to roc and citizenship later down the road.

Wishing you all a short time to wait for the interview waiver delayed green cards to be approved

I too am another who received a letter regarding the "interview waiver possibility but also in the same letter can take 6 months from the date of this letter". My husband and I had submitted a very documented K-1 initially (as we have been together for 7 years) so I figured that surely we wont have to do the interview...by the sounds of it though, it would have moved quicker had we actually gone down the interview path!

I am so incredibly frustrated, I wanted to be able to travel back to Australia in November but sadly this will not be the case if it does actually take 6 months from date of letter making it Feb 2015 (9 months in total from initial submission). I feel like America is holding me hostage for the time being :/

Who did people try and contact regarding further information regarding their case? Is there any "extenuating circumstances" or applications for a request to temporarily leave the country without voiding your pending application? This has been the most painful, expensive and lengthy process I have ever been a part of!

Did you not file for AP with your AOS? It's free, and no extenuating circumstances are required.
