I have a question, I am also missing one more vaccination. Please give me an advise where you got it and please give some information which office. Thank you.

Regarding vaccination, you need to contact your local civil surgeon, who is authorized by USCIS you can find list on www.uscis.gov. I believe they need 3 or 4 kinds of vaccination I am not sure though. If you have any paperwork that you have done few of the required vaccination and only need one or two take the paperwork to your civil surgeon office, but I would advice you take the whole test and get over with it.

Cresh, why not go to your local health department? The vaccinations are free and that is where I got mine to complete my I-693 rather than get $110 bill at the civil surgeon. {I got TDap & MMR} You get a vaccination record which is a little card and just make a copy of that for the IO's file.

I got approved for my green card today.

The interview was scheduled for 8:45 am, we got there at 8:40 am and checked in. The lawyer got in 30 mins later. We waited for about 1h15 mins before we were called in. It was a Caucasian guy in his 50's may be, and he looked pretty means.

We were swone in, and he asked for our ID's, original birth certificates, passports. He took them and verified the info on the application. Then he asked how we met, and we told him. He asked if we have any additional documents. We gave him the life insurance policy, the bank statements, e-mails, album, and cards. He went through the album and took the copy of the life insurance policy. He then proceeded to ask me the yes and no questions on the form. After that, he told me congratulations! And explained about the conditional green card, and that I should get it in two weeks.

I'm so tired now, I'm about to take a long nap. I was so stressed last night I couldn't sleep. Glad all this is over. Good luck to those who haven't gone to their interview.

Went for my interview today, appointment was set for 9.20am, but we arrived at 9am. We waited a bit until 9.25am and we got called into the immigration officer's room. Got sworn in, and then the officer proceeded to check both our passports, and some documents, and asked to verify my full name, my current address, my birth date.

Some of the questions asked:

  • How did you met?
  • tell me more about your wedding
  • Do you have any joint account/statements to show me?
  • Show me your marriage certificate

And then she went through the I-485 form with me, e.g. when were we married, do I have any children? and the questions from Part 3C of the form (involve in any organization, any crimes, involved in terrorist act, etc.

She then printed out a letterhead and state that this is what she always give the applicants, and that she need more time to review our case and we should have an answer in our mail within 30 days. Dang! I was kinda disappointed we were not approved on the spot.

Anyway, my EAD's already on it's way to me, so I guess we just gotta wait out a little bit more.

AOS approved on 7/31/2014. Took 116 days.

ROC approved on 10/26/2017. Took 463 days / 15 months 2 weeks.

07/21/16 (Day 009) NOA2 (mail) received. NOA2 for biometrics, ASC appointment notice.

08/04/16 (Day 023) Biometrics appointment . Done!

07/05/17 (Day 358) Infopass appointment for I-551 stamp on passport.

07/14/2017 (Day 367) still waiting for approval.... ugghh...

Approved! Yay, couldn't be happier.

Besides the receptionist lady messing up everything went great. She gave is the wrong receipt/number. We didn't know..How should we, we never did this before. After an hour waiting somebody came and gave us a new one. Of course it said we just checked in and we got the last number. So everybody who came after us still was called before us, That was pretty messed up. Especially since we had to leave at 4 am from Alabama. But after 3 hours waiting the man with the mean face called us - I saw him earlier and told my hubby I hope we don't get him, he looks mean. We ended up with him aaaand could not have been happier.

He asked for our IDs first. Then where my hubby was born, asked my hubby where I was born. Asked how we met and that was it and asked my hubby what we did for our 3 year Annivesary in June. Of course he didn't remember the name of the restaurant.... he just said we had steak at this grill. He then looked at me and said is that true? I said yes and told him the name of the restaurant. Did some work on his PC, looked at me and said: On here it says you're approved. I smiled and said REALLY lol. He said yes and shook my hand and finished the paper. Gave it to me and said since you've been married for 2 years you get the 10 year Greencard.. now you can get rid of him. I said nooooo and laughed.Really easy and a nice person too. He said it will be about 30 days till I get the Card.
