April 2014 Aos Filers

Hello fellas,

I just received the hard copy NOAs, and noticed something unusual. My A# was a completely different from the one I have submitted the applications with. Could it be it might have been changed for technical matters, or could it be an error on their part. Did anyone else notice it? I thank you! (applied during my OPT)

You AOS from F1 and you already have A #?

I am also AOS from F1 but I don't have any A#. Possibly when you applied for your OPT?

I was about to do OPT but luckily someone popped the question first.

Hello everyone, joining the April AOS filers group!

We sent in our paperwork on 04/03/2014

We received USPS proof of delivery via email on 04/06/2014 (on a Sunday?)

We received our 4 NOA1 via snail mail on 04/10/2014

We received 4 emails and text messages on 04/13/2014 letting us know that our case had been routed to the National Benefits Center for processing (on a Sunday again!)

We received the biometrics appointment on 04/14/2014

Biometrics appointment in Chicago scheduled on 04/30/2014.

I am adjusting from an F1 visa (out of status, graduated in September). We got married in July 2013.

We filed concurrently I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131 (since it was free).

I filed everything myself but I went to law school and volunteer at an organization with an immigration attorney on staff.

I am still freaking out all the time, having nightmares that I forgot an addendum or document.

Looking forward to wait with you guys!

Ur case is fast!

My husband sent our concurrent filings on 04/08 to Chicago office, but we haven't get any news from USICS yet.

We are worried a little bit about our filings cuz we did them by our selves. Hopefully , everything will be ok.

I do, because in order to do OPT, you need to apply for EAD. For EAD processing matters they assign the applicant an A # which appears to be temporary since mine just changed after applying for AOS. Edited by Albanian91

I assume that they assigned you a new number since OPT and EAD are totally different. However, if you are concern, you can call to make sure. But I wouldn't be too worry. You can even ask when you go for an interview.

Yeah, no big deal

Hi my wife is adjusting from an F1 visa (out of status, graduated in May 2012 and OPT EAD expired 2/2013 We've been together since we met online in 2007 but had a breakup almost a year ago and during which my wife briefly lost her marbles and married someone else. It didn't take long before we realized that we couldn't live without one another and she asked for a divorce. No aos paperwork was ever filed and they got a mutually agreeable divorce which was final in 2/2014 and we married in 3/2014.

We filed concurrently I-130, I-485, I-765

I filed everything myself so we're a bit nervous that we missed something. We know we will be scrutinized regarding the breakup, other marriage and our reconciliation so we are going to be super organized and prepared for the interview. We just mailed out the package on 4/17/2013.

Looking forward to waiting with all of you and hearing your stories!
