Quick question... Does your mailbox need to have your name written inside for them to leave the EAD card or Green Card? I remember they asked for something similar when mailing my ss card.

It's a good idea in general. Some mail carriers are real asses, and won't deliver mail unless there are names inside the box. We ran into the problem a few times, and I finally just put our last names ("X and Y ONLY") in the mailbox.

Has cut down on misdelivered mail, too. (I kid you not, the house next door has a K Hill. I'm a K Hills. IMAGINE OUR FUN.)

07/17/2014 Received email and text Card/Document Shipped (EAD) at 8.00 am07/17/2014 Received email and text stating that they have mailed notice of approval for my employment authorization.

I called uscis today to get in touch with a tier 2 representative, turns out the AP got approved along with the EAD and the site just didn't update. YESSSSS!

Interview today, no decision at the interview said she wanted to review the file,she didn't give us anything and said nothing about ROC until I asked just to see what she would say . In fact she seemed kind of annoyed we didn't have a joint bank account - been together 11 years and never have before so didn't when I moved here. Gave over insurance notices and some photos plus a new lease and tenants insurance.

At least my EAD was posted today - she was surprised that I didn't have it with me already.

All over it could have gone better, at times her accent and phraseology made it difficult to understand what she was asking.

I asked the man on the phone when I should expect to have it. He said it would likely print by the 17th, and then a couple days after that to get to me in the mail.

When it says interview and testning, can you still get an interview waiver?

I don't think so. But interview is usually faster than the waiver

I-485 has changed to testing and interview!

August 13th, 2010: Met my now husband while studying abroad in Sweden

March 5th, 2014: Got married!

March 20th, 2014: Mailed I-485 and I-765 to Chicago Lockbox through USPS Express 2-Day Mail

March 23rd, 2014: I-485 and I-765 arrived at Chicago Lockbox

April 8th, 2014: Notification of receipt of I-485 & I-765

~~Realized that I didn't include biometrics fee in my check, whoops! Sent in a check ASAP~~

April 17th, 2014: NOA Acceptance for I-485, fingerprint fee accepted

April 28th, 2014: Received RFE for I-485 for Birth Certificate

May 29th, 2014: RFE Response Review I-485

June 30th, 2014: EAD Card in Production

July 7th, 2014: EAD Card Mailed

July 7th, 2014 (just before 5 p.m.): Received email that USPS has picked up the EAD, tracking number provided, expected delivery: WEDNESDAY!

July 9th, 2014: EAD Received

July 15th, 2014: I-485 changed to testing and interview

AOS went to in production today :dancing: So relieved. Hopefully will get it by next week and I can go about sorting all my admin (bank name change, ssn name change and drivers license) and start applying for jobs.
