I just noticed ,majority had the "TESTING and INTERVIEW" update. My Application never had that update, its the 74th day now since my Application was delivered to the Chicago Lockbox. No update on my EAD yet as well. What's going on????

If your I-765 is pending more than 75 days, then you can call USCIS to submit inquiry. My wife called in and got approved the next day. The only thing is that you have to make sure your application pending more than 75 days and you need to tell them that you can submit inquiry based on USCIS's website info at the bottom page of Processing Times (you can read at https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do;jsessionid=bacwfEYaIfEWQhcqMrpBu ). Otherwise, they will reject your inquiry because it is within 90 days timeframe.

My wife's I-485 is still at Initial Review more than 90 days.

Contacted Ombudsman on 01/12/2015.

Ombudsman contacted USCIS on 02/20/2015.

Ombudsman sent a follow up to USCIS on 03/18/2015.

I-485 approved on 03/31/2015 ( we ordered your card).

Welcome notice was mailed on 04/01/2015.

Received Welcome Notice on 04/08/2015.

Card was mailed to me/picked up by USPS on 04/08/2015.

I decided to call again after first try early this morning and fail (whoever answered my first called was so ignorant. And sighed many times saying that "it is still in normal processing time,")

So I just hang up with USCIS making an inquiry for my EAD case. I made sure I know how long since I filed and told him that I can make an inquiry after 75 days. I spoke to him very nicely. Thanks for the tip.

Did he give you a confirmation number after he submitted inquiry?

I hope it works for you. USCIS does not read their own info on the website. My wife called in and he told her that it is 75 days tomorrow, but my wife emphasized it is 76 days today because she counted it.

Note that G-1145 is only sending a text or email for NOA-1(receipt) and you will never receive any text/email after that. You need to sign up an account in USCIS to receive text/mail after NOA-1. Also, you have to keep in the mind that USCIS does not update status often. The status for EAD just went straight to card/production with a message " We mailed your card today" without approval notice.

Yes, I got the confirmation no. Hopefully, it will alert someone to look at my case agaon. I used an online day counting thing. And it said 76 days today. The guy in the phone tried to count April 9th to June 9th is 2 months. So I interrupted him and said it was 76 days. So can I submit an inquiry? So he said yes.

I also registered on USCIS alert for my case. It kept me worry every time when I saw no movement when I checked. Hopefully, this inquiry works.

For those who want to call, don't stop if the first person refuse to help. Keep calling until you get help you deserve.

Thanks.

I haven't got any progress yet :(

For I-765 '75 day' inquisition, does the 75 days include weekends? Or just working days (M-F)?

For those who have received their interview appointment letter, when you received the letter, did your I-485 status on USCIS website change? I got moved to "Testing & Interview" on May-19, with the following note below. But I don't understand the part underlined. If I don't get any note that the letter was delivered, how would I know the 30 days is up?

I-485 Online Status:

"Your I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS is now ready for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance."

Thanks in advance for sharing this bit of info.

AOS approved on 7/31/2014. Took 116 days.

75 days starts from the priority date on your NOA. So it does include weekends as how they count for me. Per USCIS website, it doesn't say "only business day."

I haven't received my interview date yet. So mine just says "testing and interview"

The underline sentences just means if you didn't get a hard copy of your interview date in 30 days. Give them a call.

EAD/AP in hand yesterday. Was picked up by USPS on Monday, so, kudos to fast service there.

FYI, the timeline on his EAD/AP never changed - never moved to production or anything else. It just went from in progress to picked up by usps. This may be an expedited thing, though.
