Just re-checked my wife's status on the USCIS website and it still hasn't changed from the initial acceptance of application. I-485 application is still showing "Acceptance" and the EAD is still showing "Initial Review" which is what they said when we got the NOA 1. Meanwhile we've gotten the NOA1 hard copy, biometrics appointment and done on the date of the appointment and an interview letter scheduling our interview. I don't know why the website isn't updating, but I'm not going to worry about it as long as the hard copies keep coming in the mail

Your timeline is ridiculous, that is so fast! I have heard a lot of people talk about the website not showing any updates but like you said there's definitely nothing to worry about as long as you're receiving your hard copies.

The website is not accurate at all.

A friend of mine who got a green card recently told me that her status still showed Initial Review!

That's good that your case is going so fast! The letter in your hand is much more important!

I'm sure some local offices are different than others, but all we did was show our letter and ID's to get through security, Then the guy who was working in the biometrics office came out and double checked ID and the appointment letter, gave my wife a form to fill out. After we finished, he came and collected the form, took her inside and they did the biometrics and were back out a few minutes later. So, we didn't need anything extra when we went.

After we finished, he came and collected the form, took her inside and they did the biometrics and were back out a few minutes later. So, we didn't need anything extra when we went.

If you filed in your married name you'll need your marriage certificate as proof of name change

I had heard that, and I'm sure it's true in some cases, but we filed in her married name and brought our marriage certificate but they didn't ask for it. She does have her original passport (still in her K-1 name) but she also has a State ID card and social security card in her married name. The Security guy only looked at the passport and the guy taking the biometrics only looked at her state ID.

Better to be prepared and not need it though than to come without it and find out they want to see it.

Your timeline is almost the same as mine, with like a day of difference, hopefully our case is as fast!

Being in Phoenix, I'd wager that your local USCIS office is MUCH busier than ours. Hopefully yours will go quickly, but I have a feeling that we got lucky that our office isn't busy at all right now.
