I feel like I'm trying to be logical about a process that's perhaps not logical at all hahaha

For example, the Alien # on my petition was changed Feb 5, but I was not notified until almost mid-April

Nope. It is because some of beneficiaries were Yolanda typhoon's victims. USCIS even announced it on their website.

Edit: one of users here commented about probably because Obama was raised in Indonesia made faster approval for Indonesians. It is not true. I have seen many Indonesian filers got approved after 5 months, a normal timeline for I-129F.

Yes, it is. They deserved it. They are still recovering after the typhoon hit the Philippines, November 8, 2013. Those fellows are need more attention and I could not imagine if I was on that position.

About Philippines, I wonder why USA just didnt drop the visas for they if the Americans want to help so much. For my opinion is not fair, I know I will be very commented but is not fair, what now?! we need to expect a tragedy in our country to can move more faster ? Now was the earthquick in Chile, now we need to expect to do same with those people?! I know its sound mean what I say, and thanks God we aren't hit by a typhoon or something else, but explain me : "phillipines was hitted by that typhoon, but they have time to stay in front of PC to spend time on internet and to have fun?! where's the tragedy?! ". Again I know its sound mean but I dont want to sound like that

Not all beneficiaries from the Philippines got expedited. How did you know they spent time in front of PC when disaster was happened? Yes, I read about earthquake in Chile. How bad it was compared to the Philippines? It is the deadliest Philippine typhoon on record and killed almost 7.000 people and at least 11 millions of people left homeless.

Earthquake in Chile killed 6 people so far. I did not want to compare or sounds heartless for Chileans, but USCIS have a reason to expedited for beneficiaries from the Philippines. I am not from the Philippines, for your information, but I would never expect tragic event occur in my country just because I wanted my case file moving faster, God forbid me from having such thought. There are some people here waited 6 months before got approved. Patience is a virtue.

Hi everyone!

I know there's been lots of posts about this, but it was shocking for me to receive the Alien Registration Number so early!

I've just logged in to USCIS website to check my case status and it says that my Alien Registration Number was changed on 2th of April, a day after we got our NOA1.

Does this mean that things are going fast in TSC and we'll get NOA2 soon? I really hope so!

Best wishes and good luck on your case!

This does not mean you are necessarily close. I'm sorry :( Our ARN got update a day or so after we got our NOA1 but that was back in January and we are still waiting on our NOA2. I have also seen a wide variation in the amount of times it has taken people to get approved but if you look a lot of those people are from places with major social unrest or natural disasters and their cases are being expedited. There also seems to be the few other cases that just fly through but you never really know if they are entering their info with the right dates and information. I called USCIS yesterday and I asked them to please check the file dates they were currently working through and they told me October 1st :( I have seen more recent ones approved on VJ but that is the date they are giving. Lately, using Igor's list on VJ I have seen a lot of October, November NOA1 dates being approved. Sometimes I think it just depends on what pile they throw your application in when it gets there. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to be one of the quick ones. It has been 91 days since our NOA1 and we are dying.
