hi everyone, so I have some good news...this process is taking so long that my husband and I decided that he will try for a visitor's visa, I really want his first experience visiting to be when its warm and not in the middle of winter....well he didn't get the visitor visa, the good news is that the CO told him that he couldn't issue the visa because he can see that my husband will be migrating in the next 2-3 months....I know this is not official and I don't want to get anyone's hopes up but it made me super excited that maybe just maybe the visa bulletin will move forward when the new fiscal year starts...I'm focusing on the positive

01/08/2014 - NVC receipt date

My PD is current, my case got completed on 24th June, still I have not yet received the interview letter. Scheduling for relatives of citizens at my consulate I.e. Mumbai, India is going on, still I have not heard anything yet. I am calling again and again to NVC but they are simply asking me to wait. This is very frustrating. Don't know what to do now.

Based on previous feedback here in this forum, it seems they (relatives of citizens IR1/CR1) get first dibs on the interview slots. This is of course unofficial as no one at NVC will acknowledge this.

Consider it a good sign that your consulate's interview scheduling is going on, that means there are still slots left.

Same thing happened with me. My CC is 26 March n my PD was current for May interview still they did not schedule it by telling us to wait, called NVC multiple times. And right now,my PD is nt current. :-(
