no the flip side im talking about will never reach the news ..........how we were spit on things thrown at us......people calling us names when at an amusement park them refusing to get on the same rides we were on demanding a ride that had only them on it even given the fact there were lines of people waiting for the boats for that ride.........there is room for hate for everyone that wants to find it.....you can give me news clips all day long because of the terrorist that makes news people other than Muslims that instigate things in a country that is predominant Muslim will never be printed

For the record I do not hate the people of Islam. However, I and many other Americans are aware and take heed of the many threats and killings that take place in the name of Islam. I appreciate the Muslim people who stand up and condemn these acts, but sadly so many do not.

We do stand up ...........nobody listens it does not make for good news

They are criminals thats it they say its in the name of Islam to have an excuse to commit crimes, honestly it gives all Muslims a bad name because people need things to hate it will never end..... but my point is until people start labeling others that commit murder, terrorize innocents that are not Muslim all that's going on is fueling hate towards people like myself that are just like everyone else in the world trying to live our life the best way that we can........

Before Muslims, there were blacks and then Jews before that. Christianity, in all its loving glory, will always find someone to hate; Muslims just happen to be their latest object.

It truly would be news to see Muslim groups who openly condemn violent actions, hate and threats to others. However, I think these people fear for their lives if they did so. Not from Americans, but from the people they condemn.

There are tons of Muslims here who are ashamed to admit they're Muslim because of the hate they get here. When they denounce whatever horrible atrocities happen, it's never enough. http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2013/09/muslims-denounce-nairobi-mall-terrorist-attack-fox-news

On Sunday, the Council on American–Islamic Relations—a controversial DC-based Muslim advocacy group that is frequently the target of conservative ire—condemned the Nairobi mall attack. "We strongly condemn this cowardly attack by al-Shabab and offer condolences to the loved ones of those killed or injured," CAIR announced in a statement. "Our nation should offer whatever assistance we can to Kenyan authorities as they seek to free the hostages and bring to justice all those responsible for this heinous crime."

“We will never allow ourselves to be hijacked by this attempt, and we will not allow the perception to be that there is any religion in the world that condones the taking of innocent life,” said Nihad Awad, national executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Speaking to Muslims at Gaddafi National Mosque, Sheikh Mubajje said there is no connection between Islam and terrorism.

“Go and slaughter animals but don’t spill human blood. Islam is a religion of peace and love. Desist from acts of terrorism because that is not who we are,” he said.

Sheikh Kayongo of the Kibuli faction called for unity and forgiveness, adding that, “Muslims are not terrorists”. He also challenged Muslims to vie for top political posts come 2016 so as not to be undermined.

Muslims are doing exactly what you are saying their not. No one is paying attention.

I think there have been a few protests in the past. But they really didn't make the news.

You have been deflecting your own personal responsibility to the actions of extremists who threaten, murder, and kill in the name of your God. Instead of posting links about others, it would be quite refreshing to see you admit that the world is at danger from these organized muslim groups and to stop comparing them with madmen who act alone.

I just posted a few links. Unfortunately, 9/11 has taken Islam phobia to a height unattainable to reach by any other act of violence. Now, any act committed by a muslim will reinforce that fear.

Just my opinion, but I think it does matter why a person commits any crime. And while most crimes in the US are committed by Christians, they aren't doing it thinking it is somehow pleasing to God. Of course, back when we had the Christians killing abortion doctors and blowing up abortion clinics that could definitely be called Christian terrorism.

I still can't understand how some people get to become an Imam and then preach a message of violence and hatred. I think that's where the problem starts, when people are influenced by a charismatic leader who preaches that type of message to young followers. If there were some way to "defrock" them, that would help.

Black a phobia, islama phobia, or whatever phobia du-jour. There are thousands of threats out there every single day against Americans. I for one will not swallow the bait from Muslims who squawk about being offended by people who don't trust them. My trust goes a long way when I hear a Muslim openly admit and condemn the evil actions of those who claim their faith instead of trying to deflect and blame others. But hey, I recognize it, and I see it for what it is.

And you're adamant about hating Islam. You said you would like to see Muslims denounce violent acts. I posted links and quotes. Looks like your mind is made up. You say you're at danger from Muslims? You're more likely to get gunned down by an American who loves the 2nd Amendment.

(inappropriate language removed - VJ Moderation) Threats from the evil parts of the Muslim community are real. I have great respect for Muslim people who honor their faith, have faith in their God, and live a life of respect and peace with others. Your attempt to accuse me of rolling evil into a mix with the good is a lame attempt at pulling an over-used race card.

The links I posted did exactly just that, and you ignored them. So I wonder what you think about me? I'm a muslim, and I'm a patriot. Do I deserve to be not trusted because of my faith? Or, should I be judged for my actions and my words, rather than some nut job who uses Islam as a shield since he lacks the conviction to kill on his own?

Pull up the number Expat. How many people are killed by acts of radical muslims? Match that up to the number of folks killed here by non muslims.

Because I suspected that this attack may have been a repeat of the previous attack and was wrong, you assume that I am prejudiced. I was wrong this time and so are YOU!

RIP Fred Phelps. There are tons of preachers spreading hate. The only difference between us and them is our country isn't run by a religious faction.
