For those that have gone the I-90 route, did you have to do another biometrics after you filed your I-90? We got our NOA1 for I-90 but have heard nothing since and it's been almost 6 months. We have an InfoPass appointment for 4/16 due the I-551 stamp expiring on 4/17. Thanks.

My mom filed her I-90 on 10/17/2013 and then she had biometric a month later.

She has not heard anything from them yet and I remember the processing time for I-90 is 7 months.

We never got an appointment letter. The USCIS put the wrong issuance date on the GC. I wasn't even looking for another biometrics letter but definitely would have seen it had it come. When we got the I-551 stamp they told us a replacement takes 4 months and that was why they only gave us 6 months. Using the I-551 at U.S. POE is a real pain, secondary every time.

How did you get I-551 without biometric appointment letter?

You got GC with the wrong date on so you file I-90 to replace it?

Made InfoPass appointment. Explained that USCIS put wrong issuance/expiration date on GC.I didn't want to send back the original GC without the stamp because the EAD/AP was now void and my wife needed something to travel with outside of the U.S. Was told would need to submit I-90 and return original GC. Therefore they put the I-551 stamp in the passport and wrote below the explanation that the GC was being returned due USCIS error (can't tell you the number of people we have had to explain that to at LAX).
