Hello all,

We passed the interview today. It was very tough, according to my fiancee. They drilled her with some thing like 50 questions. Here are some that my fiancee remembered:

How long did you know each other?

How did you meet?

When did you meet?

Give us the whole date, month and year when you met.

What method did you use to communicate with each other?

How often to you talk to one another?

Does your fiancée have kids?

Why did you want to meet him if you know he has kids?

Did you meet his kids?

Do you talk to his kids?

Do they like you?

Do you have kids?

How many times did your fiancé visit you?

How long did he stay?

What did you do on first visit?

When did he propose to you?

Did you say yes immediately ?

What is your fiancée name?

Where does he live?

Where does he work?

What is his job title? Describe his work?

Does he have a house?

Who does your fiancée live with?

Have you ever left Vietnam to go visit another country or for school?

Did you apply for a student visa before?

How many time Did you apply for a student visa?

When Did you apply for a student visa?

So you were determined not qualified for a student visa, is that why you wanted to date your fiancée so you can come to the US with a K1?

Do you know that you have to marry within 90 days? Do you intend to? Read and sign this paper (their own paper form version of the letter of intent)

So you have relatices in the US? Do you plan to come and live with them instead of living with your husband?

You said you met online. Did you go online specifically with the intent of looking for a husband in the US so that you can migrate there?

Did your husband go to college?

What is his major in college?

Where does your fiancée live?

Was your fiancee born in the US?

When did your fiancée come to the US?

I took Pete82 advice and told my fiancee to be in the look out for a pink slip or blue slip during the interview. She looked and saw the pink slip in her file folder on the way to the interview window. That helped relax her a bit and allowed her to answer the questions better. She still messed up once when they asked her when I came to the US.....for some reason she had the mental block and said the wrong year....she said 1987 instead of 1980 . After what seemed like eternity, it came back and she said sorry to the interviewer that she is too nervous that she said the wrong thing and the lady there smiled understandingly and said OK. We lucked out here, I guess.

This lady is pretty friendly. She was very pleasant the entire interview. She laughed when my fiancee said she cried for a long time when I proposed and when my fiancee said she loved to rub my beer belly because I am like " Ông Địa" aka fat budda and rubbing my beer belly gave her luck. When she asked my fiancee what drawn her to my profile in Vietnamcupids, my fiancee told her it was because of my posted picture of me and my kids. My kids are super cute and I had a kind face. The she showed the interviewer the picture...the interviewer looked at it and actually said wow and agreed that my kids are cute and smile. That is the only picture she looked at. My fiancee brought about 500 pictures and 700 pages of Yahoo chat log, facetime logs, skype logs, receipts and all the evidence (15 lbs worth) and the lady did not want to see any of it. She just waved her hads and said no when my fiancee tried to submit them through the window. I think our file was already approved and the lady there was just asking the specific questions designed to test our relationship. We passed because our relationship is genuine and not fake. They did made my fiancee sign their own paper form version of the letter of intent even though my fiancee submitted new updated letter of intent for both of us.

At the end of the interview she said she is sorry for drilling my fiancee so hard, it is because of the new immigration policy/initiative to weed out all the fakers then told my fiancee she is keeping her passport and to expect 10 days for visa to be delivered in the mail.

Now a load off our chest, we are ready to begin a new life together...Any one have a good leads on cheap tickets? :)

congrats!!

To quotes a movie, “So how does it happen, great love? Nobody knows... but what I can tell you is that it happens in the blink of an eye. One Moment you're enjoying your life, and the next you're wondering how you ever lived without them.” I felt I found something with Kieu that is rare in life... true love.

this might sound dumb to some people but when getting interview before going to the states. they don't do fact check to back up some of the answers or do they? because they will let u know if u pass or fail right away, they don't go back and verify the answers. it's my thinking, please share.

but if the person asking the question wrote down the beforehand, then i can understand b/c that person would have time to look at the paperwork and know the answer.
