New Embassy compound in Santo Domingo

We are currently awaiting our NAO2 with a priority date of November 11. I'm guessing another 2-4 months away from getting through the process at the NVC. That puts our file in the hands on the Consulate in Santo Domingo anywhere from June to August more or less.

Does anyone know when the Santo Domingo Embassy is officially switching locations to the new compound? I have scoured the Consulate website and there are no new locations noted yet or any other information about the new facility that is coming aside from the ground breaking announcement 2 ears ago. I know the move is soon as I have been on the airplane several times with a few state department workers who have told me the new compound is almost complete.

Obviously my concern is the potential for more delay when the consulate relocates. God knows what confusion will take place when a government office this large moves. I'm thinking some serous loss in productivity let alone the possibility of lost files and such. I'm trying to ignore this embassy relocation as there is noting I can do about it, but wondering if anyone knows more details.

Thanks!

We have almost the same priority date. I got my I-130 approved on March 17,2014 and now I am wondering about the embassy relocation. I hope that if they do move it, they do it smoothly without losing any files because it feels like I have been waiting for ever!!
