I arrived at JFK on Sunday 30th March after filing for my visa in early September. Feels good!

I'll be writing a full POE review today, but if you are coming to the US soon you should be even less worried about the POE interview than the interview at the embassy. Although, there seems to be some confusion at JFK about exactly where they should send K-1s to have their paperwork checked.

Overall JFK was very busy (as it usually is) but I was done and through the border really quickly.

See, I'm the opposite; I thought NYC was a smelly, overpopulated hole and couldn't wait to get out (no offence to people who live there or just generally like it ). I love Boston and live about thirty minutes away, so can come and go as I please.

There's that smell again...

NYC has it's drawbacks, certainly! It definitely smells, but having lived in East London for the past 4 years I'm used to that ;)

And, yeah, Boston is nice. We went last year and it felt to me like a rich British city. Anyone else get that feeling?

Thanks for all the well-wishes!

I know, I don't mean to bash your place of rez! I'm just biased. The first time I went to NYC, I made the mistake of wearing sandals. When I got back to the hotel from sightseeing, my feet were black.

I always thought Chicago was much cleaner.

Plus the pizza is so, so much better. ;)

I'm looking forward to your POE review as I'm going to JFK first and then down to Florida on Tuesday. I've never been to JFK so I hope its ok. I left myself a 3 hour layover so fingers crossed I won't be dashing through the airport.

Was there a separate line for new immigrants like there is in some airports? Thanks for any info you put up and congrats on being reunited with your loved one :)
