K1 denied due to questionable relationship visa

Help! My fiancé is a Pakistani citizen who has been working in South Africa for 6 years. His case has been in AP for exactly 3 months, and just today we found out that he was denied. They said it was because of how he got to SA in the first place: He filed for a "life partner" visa with another woman, but their relationship ended shortly thereafter (about 1 year). Is an appeal worthy of my time? Should I fly there again and get married and file a I-130? Would you suggest an immigration lawyer to be worthy of my time?

Forget the appeal.

Marry and file for C R 1.

No. The lawyer will require the same info generated by you anyway.
