Passport pictures with n-400 application.

Hello everyone. I have a question about sending in your passport pictures with your n-400 application. My wife had her passport picture taking but her ears was not showing. I told the woman that the ears has to be showing and she told me that it doesn't matter. I went on the USCIS website and it doesn't say that the ears has to be shown or not. Any replys.

To be honest i never submitted Pics with ear show off , only stray head passport pics
