We mailed our AOS on March 25th to Chicago via USPS, projected delivery on March 27th. On the 27th tracking said it departed the Elk Grove Village, IL sort facility and then after that tracking stopped. No delivery confirmation, it just stopped. I know USPS tracking sucks and it's probably sitting at USCIS (hopefully) but no NOA1s yet or check cashed. I'm starting to get frustrated.

I tried contacting USPS but they're useless and just give me tracking info, even though I explain the tracking just magically stopped.

I suppose all I can do is wait and see if the check gets cashed or we receive an electronic NOA1 but I can help but feel concerned.

The check can take up to a month to be cashed. Same with NOA1. It has been 2 business days.

I bet you the tracking will update in a few days and show it was delivered Friday or something.

Ours was delivered on the 27th as well, we just got our NOA1 today, I bet you will get it any day now!


Sorry, 26th not 27th! Similar timeline though!

11/09/2016 - i-751 sent

11/14/2016 - NOA1

12/08/2016 - Biometrics

06/04/2018 - i-751 approved

The problem is ours never says it was delivered, tracking just randomly stopped so we have no idea where it is

This same thing happened to a few Jan filers, myself included. I got the USPS notification a few days after it was actually delivered, some got it up to a week after the fact. Good news is in all cases the AOS paperwork was received by the USCIS.... :)
