So.....no interview scheduled yet. NVC chica said, and I quote " You might want to call back in a couple of weeks to see if an interview has been scheduled".

That doesn't even stress me out - just makes me laugh. I said, aren't you scheduling interviews right now? She said yes.... so yeah. funny stuff! I know for me thankfully Montreal does not have a long wait for the consulate.

I will call back tomorrow morning. hehe

Congratulations. My husbands interview is May 21st. May I ask you how the interview was? I am going with him and I am a bit nervous.

Congratulations. My husbands interview is May 21st. May I ask you how the interview was? I am going with him and I am a bit nervous.

how exciting! My husbands interview was on 5/8 and it went great and he got approved :). He basically just read through the reviews/tips/advice from the Canadian portal about the consulate. He made sure to check and double check everything he needed. He showed up around 7:30 am, even though he wasn't the first in line, he was in the first batch and managed to get to the right part of the elevator and ended up with A1 ticket. He was done within 45 minutes. It actually kinda freaked me out when he texted me so shortly after I knew the consulate opened, I thought OH NO, he forgot something and they wont let him in....but nope, the interview went really fast! Whew.

He went in fully organized and stocked with every form and copies just in case - but they didn't even look at any of it. Just the forms that are listed on the email you get for the interview. He said they were really nice, basically just asked how we met and about how we have kept in touch and about our trips to see each other. I am sure if they have someone coming in who is obviously very prepared and organized, it makes a good impression.

The other reviews I have seen for spousal interviews at Montreal have all seemed pretty positive and that there is nothing to be stressed about. But it was definitely hard to not stress when we have spent so many months working up to this moment, right?! Anyhow, it all went great and I am sure yours will as well :) The only thing we kind of overlooked was to print out the Loomis confirmation, you need that to get into the consulate. Thankfully the hotel he stayed at had a business center.

Side note: He stayed at a hotel super close to the consulate, the staff there was very accommodating and used to people staying there for visa type things. I can't remember the name of it....but it is basically the closest one, just a few blocks.

Hi Dwheels,

I have one more question, my wife is coming in a few days and does she still need any of the proof of relationship stuff at POE?

I already paid for the green card and only received the receipt, does she need any sort of confirmation page at POE?

thanks again for your time in this process!!

Yeah, Best Western, that sounds about right. :) My husband went to the consulate early, he just left all of his things in the hotel room and then went back after the interview and checked out.

I wish you the best!!

Nope. However I would have the marriage certificate with me at POE just in case. But all proofs is in that envelope thats sealed They may ask more interview questions but that's no problem.

My husband should be at the embassy right now. I have never been so nervous/excited in my life. I'm trying to find things to keep me occupied while I wait for him to finish & get home to call me and let me know how things went. Time is not passing fast enough.

As an update: My husband just called me after his interview at Mumbai. He received 221g slip for an I-864a for my mom to complete (Dad is co-sponsor). Annoyed because NVC told me no need for the I-864a when I spoke to them several times. They took his PCC & Dad's updated I-864 as requested from our NVC case complete letter. CO told him his interview went well, and that he would not need to come back for another interview, but to just return with the missing document & his passport. So approved pending receipt of the missing document I guess?

What should his status in CEAC be? I'll be searching for other people's experience with returning 221g requested documents to see how long of a time frame we might be looking at. Anyone have any info on it?

Thanks All, I will post his complete review once we get the missing form all sorted out.

Well that stinks! But it doesn't sound like too much longer of a wait for you guys. We are scheduled for Mumbai June 18th! What questions did he get asked?
